WAIPU President Dr. Lucien W. Valloni has officially welcomed at the General Assembly in Bratislava the two new WAIPU members and stated:
WAIPU is very proud to have now two new members. SIHPA Slovenská asociácia hráčov ľadového hokeja, the player union of Slovakia as well as SZHL Stowarzyszenie Zawodników Hokeja na Lodzie, the Polish player union. We are very happy to have such new members who are very active and are bringing a lot of new power to WAIPU."

We are very proud to announce that WAIPU and especially its member WAIPU North America did obtain support in their union drive from the World Players Association which includes among others the following members:
NHLPA, FIFPro, MLBPA, NFLPA, NBAPA.
